Is Giorgio Moroder the coolest 75-year-old in the world? With all due respect to Mr Tom Jones, you could certainly make a case. Having pioneered EDM – now the toast of the charts – he’s just as relevant today as he was in the Seventies. Oh, and bonus fact: he wrote the soundtrack to Scarface. Now those are quite some credentials.
But, unlike many of his younger accolites, Moroder isn’t content to bask in the glories of his past. In 2015 Moroder released his latest album Deja Vu featuring collaborators with Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Sia, Charli XCX and Foxes – basically a Who’s Who of established industry names and the freshest up-and-coming talent. Talk about inspirational.
